What is Proprioception?
The body's sense of its own position, movement, and actions in relation to the environment.
The body contains receptors in the skin, muscles, and joints that receive input and transfer information to the brain and nervous system so that the body can sense itself and react to environmental factors including objects, terrain, distance, and pressure.
Proprioception plays a huge role in:

Proprioception
The Equiband Technology
Equiband is a resistance band system that helps your horse with hindquarter engagement, developing core strength, and achieving spinal stability. It is used as a muscle strengthening therapy and proprioception therapy. It stimulates neuromuscular receptors during locomotion that cause the horse to activate stabilizing muscles: deep core, back, and hindquarter muscles. It encourages the horse to feel changes in their posture and carry themself in a more balanced and correct way.
It is used in horses with kissing spine, recurrent back and/or hindquarter injuries, horses recovering from colic surgery, horses with poor posture, horses who are having a hard time collecting because of muscle weakness, and more.
